Grading and Awards

All competitors receive:

• gold plaque for achieving 95-100 points
• silver plaque for achieving 90-94,99 points
• bronze plaque for achieving 85-89,99 points

In each category, at least three prizes will be awarded.

All prize winners of the International Piano Competition Janez Matičič will receive a practical or a cash prize form the competition’s award fund.

First prize is eligible only for competitors receiving a gold plaque.

Cash Prizes:

3rd Category

• First Prize (achieving over 95 points) – 300 €
• Special prize for the best performance of the piece by Janez Matičič – 100 €

4th Category

•  First Prize (achieving over 95 points) – 400 €
• Special prize for the best performance of the piece by Janez Matičič – 100 €

Artistic Category

• First Prize Grand Prix Janez Matičič – 3,000 €
• Second Prize – 1,500 €
• Third Prize – 1,000 €
• Special prize for the best performance of the piece by Janez Matičič – 500 €
